Last year I reported on a study that concluded that employment law issues were the number 1 worry for in-house counsel. This year’s study reached the same conclusion. That’s seven years in a row. Take a bow everyone.
Perhaps a future post will address whether some of the concern is due to fearmongering by outside counsel as a method of selling their services. I’m not saying that there isn’t legitimate reason for concern. But we have been known to predict incorrectly that the "floodgates" were about to open (see, e.g., the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act).
